Temperature: Max. 18 - 22°C, even more in summer. Usually not below 15°C at night.
Location: Summer: bright but no direct sun. Winter: as light as possible.
The more than 200 species are distributed in Africa and on the islands in the Indian Ocean. The plants show quite different growth forms, many are very similar to the genus Vanda. In almost all species the flowers are white, in many they are star-shaped and they always have a long, thin spur.
