Temperature: Summer around 20°C. Winter around 18°C, at night around 15°C.
Location: Bright but protected from direct sunlight. Avoid dry heating air.
The genus includes over 20 species. They are usually found in mountainous areas and in cooler climates, e.g. T. but also in the lowlands. The flower stalk is always attached to the side of the corm and bears 1 to 10 perennial flowers. Many hybrids have been bred both within the genus and between Miltonia and Oncidium, Odontoglossum, Brassia and others.
