Finally we can offer you almost flowering plants of this great, relatively new Coelogyne species. The plant pushes one flower after the other, it should be cultivated in a hanging pot so that the flower chains can be beautifully displayed.
Care tips:
Location:
A window spot that is bright and not too warm. Most species also feel comfortable outdoors in a sheltered spot.
Temperature:
One must distinguish three groups:
Group 1 around Coel. speciosa, which must be kept warm and moist all year round (20 – 25°C).
Group 2 around Coel. massangeana, which is happy with 15 – 20°C.
Group 3 around Coel. cristata, which likes to be outdoors in summer and at about 10°C in winter.
Pour:
According to the temperature:
Group 1: Keep moist all year round without waterlogging. Of course, a little less in winter when there is little light.
Group 2: Moist in summer, slightly drier in winter, without causing the plants to shrink.
Group 3: Moist in summer, hardly water at all in winter. But don't let it shrink either.
Fertilize:
During the growth period from March to October, feed orchid fertilizer every 14 days
Do not fertilize during the low-light period (November – February).
